Obituary
Elizabeth Szogyeni nee Brejak in her 100th year passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Pine Meadow Nursing Home in Northbrook. She lived a long and fulfilling life with her husband Peter. They enjoyed many trips to Florida in the winters and home at their cottage in the summers.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents Karolina & Joseph, her husband Peter in 2009 and by her siblings Helen (Eddie) Vircik, Medi (Valero) Zamfir, Rosy (John) Heuberger, Rudolf (Annie) Brejak, Karl Brejak and Adam (Norma) Brejak.Those left to cherish her memory are her siblings Emil (Ushie) Brejak, Anton (Sheren) Brejak and Eugene (Judy) Brejak. Also leaving behind many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth has been cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pine Meadow Nursing Home for their loving care of Elizabeth. The family would also like to thank Adam and Norma Brejak for the love and amazing care given to both Peter and Elizabeth. Memorial Donations made in Elizabeth’s memory to Pine Meadow Nursing Home or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
