Glen W. Perry (retired OPP K9 Unit)
November 5, 1953 - February 25, 2021
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Glen after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, February 25, 2021. He leaves behind his loving & devoted wife Janet (nee Miller) of 40 years. Proud father of Sarah, Tyler, Shawn and cherished Poppa to his grandchildren Nolan and Owen Dwyer. Glen will be sadly missed by his sisters Beverley (Marvin) Dubchak, Doreen (the late Terry) LeSage and by his brother Doug (Sue) Perry. He is pre-deceased by his parents Audrey & Wallace Perry and sister Thelma Pounder. Dearest son-in-law of Arnold & Shirley Miller. Many memories and good times will be treasured by his brother in-laws Laverne Pounder, David (Elaine) Miller and by his sisters-in-law Susan (the late Bill) Ducharme and Donna (Mike) Edwards. Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, many friends and OPP family.
The family will receive friends at the Milestone Funeral Center, Northbrook on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 1-4pm & Saturday from 11am-1pm. A Celebration of Life Service for Glen will be in the Chapel on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1pm. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Attendance is limited due to covid-19 restrictions with social distancing.
The Perry family wishes to extend a sincere thank-you to Dr. Daniel Curran, Tamworth Medical Centre, primary care nurse Richard Oskrdal and Dr. Liz Norris for the extraordinary care Glen received during his illness and all the support shown to our family after Glen's passing. Friends desiring may contribute in his memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
