Obituary
James "Jimmy" Smith - passed away peacefully, at the Lennox & Addington General Hospital on Monday, June 12, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Devoted husband of 44 years to Janice Smith. Dear father of Tony Smith, best friend & father of Angela Smith (Mike). Special Gramps of Cody (Regan), Jacob Smith and cherished Poppa of Karter Turner, Max, Jack and Gunnar Wilkinson. Proud father-in-law of Kelli Brown-Smith. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his sisters Joyce Smith (late Keith), Betty Faye Joran (late David) and Linda Brown (Brian). Pre-deceased by his brothers Bob, Leroy and his sisters Isma Howitt (Leo), Ellen Redding (Ken) and Wilma Moxam (Merv). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Selby Community Hall, 114B Pleasant Dr. Selby on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 1-4pm. Interment of his ashes will take place at a later date in Tamworth Cemetery. Friends desiring may contribute in his memory to the L&A Hospital Foundation with appreciation. A sincere thank-you is extended to the many Doctors, nurses and staff at the L&A Hospital for the extraordinary care provided to Jimmy.
