Stephen Lancaster - It is with a heavy heart that the Lancaster family have to announce the sudden, yet peaceful, passing of Stephen Kenneth on Friday, March 24, just 6 days before his 59th birthday. Loving son of Kenneth and Linda and brother of Deborah (Brian Stanley), Robert, Dee-Ann and Derrick, all of Cloyne, ON. Predeceased by the love of his life, Réjean Roy with whom he built a beautiful life and business and who tragically passed on New Years Day 2017.
Because of the hardship he experienced throughout his own life, he had a loving and caring nature for anyone he perceived as less fortunate than he, often providing food, clothing and even shelter under his own roof. He spearheaded many donation campaigns for people who experienced personal tragedies and would often give away more than what he could afford. He had a love and knowledge of antiques that was unrivalled, with a loyal customer base all over North America. He recognized the importance of preserving local history as seen by his numerous contributions to the Cloyne and District Historical Society throughout his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family believes Stephen would have liked donations to either the Canadian Humane Society and/or the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research in his name. It was because of this research and innovation that Stephen (and countless others like him) were able to live a full and happy life beyond what was ever predicted for him. The family will receive friends at the Milestone Funeral Center, Northbrook on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 12:00 - 2:30pm with food & refreshments served. A Celebration of his Life and Tributes will follow in the Chapel at 2:30pm. Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.milestonefuneralcenter.com
